WE ARE THE NEW ATLANTA BREAKS BREAD WITH OMERETTA

We Are The New Atlanta kicked off the first #BreakBreadATL of 2019 with one of Atlanta's female recording artist Omeretta. This month's sold out crowd included creatives seeking to expand their artistry in music, business and other areas of entertainment.  In true #BreakBreadATL fashion the conversation was open and the night was filled with new connections to fuel the creative spirit that is The New Atlanta.

Omeretta the Great is not just any female rapper. She has built an audience through online platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube, where she has racked up millions of plays. Some of her most popular tracks include "The Intro", and visual singles such as "Dat's Cap" and "Space". Growing up in the Atlanta, Georgia area, she is a popular presence on Instagram, where she has been known to post rap videos. Her account has attracted over 880,000 followers thus far. Omeretta is the rose that grew from the concrete streets of Zone 3, and just like that flower, she’s always been determined to thrive and bloom despite her surroundings and circumstances. Armed with a steady pen, memorable delivery, and big personality, this striking beauty is quickly making supporters out of everyone she meets. Her album Welcome to the Jungle released 2 days prior to #BreakBreadATL, January 27th.

Our 13th #BreakBreadATL was held at  Genesis Atlanta. Genesis Atlanta is a new studio and creative loft space designed for local Artist, Photographers and Entrepreneurs to showcase and host their talents. After getting settled in, Omeretta jumped straight into discussing the trails and tribulations she has faced being a female in a male dominate industry. With a lot of attendees being personal fans of hers they wanted Omeretta to elaborate on how social media has played a big role in her career. Omeretta stressed the importance of just being yourself no matter what career path.  Staying true to herself has been the key to her success. In closing, Omeretta gave the twenty special attendees a private listening of her new album Welcome To The Jungle as they enjoyed special dessert treats from Zayla's Sweet Treats
