Fresh off the celebration of their 2 year anniversary, Kupcakerie owners sat down with The New Atlanta team to discuss business trials, triumphs and their journey to create and maintain a successful business here in Atlanta.
While Kupcakerie recently celebrated their 2 year anniversary the company has been around for a total of four years and this marks their second year with a physical location. The shop, located at 2781 Main St, has not only served as home to Henry & Kascha's business but has been a catalyst for the community by allowing their conference room to be home to a loyal customer's ACT Prep course which has grown from a two person study session into a full class that serves the youth within the East Point community. Kupcakerie also opens its doors to many community organizations and members for event rentals including spoken word, fundraisers and networking events. While East Point was not their original planned location, the owners did express the current location's appearance and proximity to home for East Point native Henry made it the perfect spot to plant their seed and develop.
Henry went on to share with us some special moment that have taken place within Kupcakerie over the past two years, one of his favorites being a visit from Atlanta's own Cam Newton. The shop has also been used as a location to shoot for various TV shows and can be seen on the current season of VH1's Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta, and Bounce TV's Saints and Sinners.
Kupcakerie's menu features a plethora of rotating flavors, even including daily vegan options to accommodate all customers. Some flavors remain on a day to day basis such as the scarlet letter, suit & tie and the owner's choice tall dark and handsome. While other's like the Key Lime, Germain Jackson and Peanut Butter Have My Chocolate make appearances at different times throughout the week. Alongside the Cupcakes is a full espresso bar serving up lattes, freshly brewed coffee, and so much more. They also have small bites such as beagles, cake pops and a stock of refreshing beverages in their refrigerated section.
While the owners were unable to comment on upcoming events and things happening for Kupcakerie just yet the New Atlanta team remains confident and excited about things to come for this business. In the past they have fulfilled orders for South West Airlines, Delta, and even Wellstar Hospitals all while keeping their door open to serve the general public 6 days a week. Kupcakerie continues to be a driving force in the community by aiding in creating memories for both corporations and individuals alike. There is never a day you will visit and not be treated like family by the always smiling and polite staff. If you haven't already, be sure to stop in and grab a cupcake from this locally owned and operated shop or have them delivered to your door via UberEats.
